[Ntop] No traffic logged after upgrade to v.3.3.180219

I've upgraded from v.3.3.180211 to v.3.3.180219, and now I'm seeing no traffic recorded. The only interface in the Interfaces dropdown is the combined one that we used before I enabled dynamic network interfaces. Normally these become available to select a short while after restarting ntopng.

I got as far as proving that nprobe was still collecting flows, then rebooted the machine, which fixed the problem. But why? What would rebooting do that restarting ntopng and nprobe wouldn't?
